Romantic Early Fall Waterfall Wedding at Roundhouse Beacon

This early fall wedding at Roundhouse in Beacon was planned around the view. Roundhouse is a restored 19th-century brick mill on Fishkill Creek, right beside Beacon Falls, about an hour and a half north of Manhattan in the Hudson Valley. The ceremony room has floor-to-ceiling steel-framed windows that look straight into the trees, so instead of an arch that would cover the glass, we built two tall floral columns on either side and left the middle open. The palette was blush, dusty rose and antique hydrangea green with a few burgundy accents, grounded by the bridesmaids in plum and a sage green toile that ran from the invitation suite to the escort card table.
Floraland Weddings & Events designed the florals. The venue has a natural flow worth knowing if you are considering it: ceremony in the glass room, cocktails under the timbered skylight, then dinner in the reception hall on a mix of long and round tables. Since guests pass through three spaces, the escort table carried one tall branch arrangement as a landmark, and the reception centerpieces stayed low and loose, white and blush blooms with a little anthurium and trailing amaranthus, set between glass hurricanes so everyone could see across the table. In early fall the burgundy and plum notes matter; without them a blush palette can read as spring.
